Ormocarpum cochinchinensis
Shrub or small tree, 6−8 m tall; branches often bending downwards, reddish-purple, glabrous or with viscid swollen-based hairs. Leaves imparipinnate, alternate, 9−17-foliolate; petioles 1.5−2.3 mm long; stipules ovate or lanceolate, apex acuminate, ciliate, up to 4 (-7) by 1−5 mm; rachis glabrous, 4−7 mm long. Leaflets alternate; subsessile; oblong-elliptic or elliptic, 10−25 (-50) by 8−11 (-22) mm, apex obtuse or emarginate and mucronate, base rounded, margin entire or minutely notched, glabrous and minutely black-dotted above, paler beneath. Inflorescences with peduncles 7−8 mm long, axillary, racemoses, c. 3 cm long, viscid glandular-setose, 2−13-flowered; bracts brown, persistent, 1.5−2 by 4−5 mm, ovate-triangular, apex acuminate, base rounded, setose along the margin; bracteoles similar to bracts, 2−3 mm long. Flowers 15−20 mm long. Calyx glabrous or with a few large swollen-based hairs, ca. 1 cm long; tube ca. 2.5 mm long; lobe ca. 5 mm long. Petals yellowish or white; standard ovate, 5−9 mm long, apex emarginate, base shortly narrowed; wings ovate, slender, 6−8 by 4−6.5 mm; keel conspicuously inflexed, apex acuminate to beaked, 5−8 by 4−5 mm. Stamens 10−16 mm long, glabrous. Ovary sparsely pubescent near the base, linear. Pods dark blackish-green, slightly falcate, glabrous, 1.5−2 by 0.7−0.9 cm, inflated. Seeds oblong, 6 by 2.5 mm, brown.
